What Does a Remote Job Mean?

Remote work is also known as work from home [WFH] or telecommuting. It is a flexible working arrangement that allows you to work from remote locations or your home outside of a corporate office. … Remote work arrangements can also be temporary or permanent, part-time or full-time, occasional or frequent.

Are Remote Jobs Genuine and How Does It Work?

Yes, most remote jobs are genuine and vetted out, so you can feel safe knowing you can apply your resume. As companies learn the right strategies to hire remote workers and which candidates make the best work-from-home employees, they are expanding this employment option to a wider and wider range of job categories. I will talk about how to recognize which ones are not legit a little later. Worldwide remote job list websites usually do a great job of vetting online jobs from reputable companies.

Why Do Job Listings List the Location as Remote or Work from Home and Then Put a Site Location in The Description?

Some remote jobs have geographic requirements, whether it’s a specific state, city, country, or even region of the country. Some online jobs are location-specific so that you can stop in once in a while for an important meeting and such. Sometimes they are legally bound to only conduct business in a specified state because of their licensing requirements or regulations.

How Do I Know If a Remote Job Listing Is Legit?

Usually, you can tell, especially if they are posting great compensation without any experience. Most will say on the posting depends on experience. You can also look at their website, and if you see no information in the footer of the website with an address or any contact info, that might be a good indicator to steer clear.

Always do your homework by looking into each company. If you cannot find any information with a simple Google search, then don’t bother. If there are upfront fees, do not even think about it. Think about this instead, why would someone pay to work when it’s you looking for work, right? I don’t care if it’s part of any processing fee just don’t.

Without further ado, here’s the list!!
